**Salary:** Starting at $50,000 for certified teachers, with additional performance pay of $3,750 for meeting criteria and potential additional compensation for extra duties.

**Position Summary:**

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating engaging and rigorous instruction that meets the diverse needs of our student population. As an English Language Arts Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking skills among our students.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Design and implement effective and differentiated English Language Arts lessons that align with state standards and address the diverse learning needs of students, including English-language learners and students with learning gaps.

2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and academic growth.

3. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning and foster critical thinking, communication, and literacy skills.

4. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly to meet individual learning needs.

5. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement instructional strategies, interventions, and accommodations to support student success.

6. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders through effective communication and engagement efforts.

7. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay abreast of best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

8. Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the school administration.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

- Valid teaching certification in English Language Arts (or eligible for certification)

- Prior experience teaching middle school English Language Arts preferred, especially in diverse and high-needs school settings

- Strong knowledge of middle school English Language Arts curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices

- Ability to differentiate instruction and support the diverse needs of students, including English-language learners and students with learning gaps

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
